Dr. Huang Xiaoran received a doctorate from the School of Architecture and Planning, University of Melbourne, and a master's degree from the Department of Architecture, University College London (UCL), under the tutelage of Academician Mark Burry and Professor Marcus White of the Australian Academy of Science and Engineering.
